BIO

A drummer of over 20 years, Zac is a professional musician and educator based in Northamptonshire. Zac has taught both privately and in schools, taking on students' of all ages and abilities. 

Zac graduated from the British Institute of Modern Music with First Class Honours and has studied closely with some of the UK’s top musicians and educators, including Lee Smith, James Hester and Mark Whitlam. 

Zac is a keen proponent of musical versatility and has spent years developing a wealth of diverse knowledge within a very broad spectrum of genres and styles. Having performed and recorded with artists ranging from big band, soul to metal, Zac demonstrates a key focus on adaptability and functionality for his clients, students and associates. 

Zac has had the pleasure of playing percussion and drums for the Great Central Big Band, a 22 piece big band performing music from classic era of swing. Zac has performed alongside jazz pianist Mike Kemp in various ensembles, songwriter Angela Jones, singer Tom Carpenter and was a member of Northants hard rock outfit Over The Influence, for over 2 years. Zac has played alongside acts such as Bad Touch, Massive, Vukovi, Hacktivist & The Fallen State. 

Zac is a member of the five-piece Pop Metal outfit, Kite Thief. Kite Thief began in June 2018 and have since, been out on multiple UK tours, sold out venues and have released multiple singles. Kite Thief have had the pleasure of playing festivals such as Burn It Down, The Godney Gathering and 2000 Trees Festival, all whilst sharing the stages with bands such as InMe, Vukovi and Of Virtue. Kite Thief are currently releasing new music throughout 2023.
